Mr. Reed is the president of Reed Fire Protection Engineering and licensed Fire Protection Engineer with 47 years of experience in the fire protection industry including life safety analysis for complex buildings; design and evaluation of fire sprinklers, fire alarms, mass notification, smoke control, fire-rated separations, means of egress, in addition to fire life safety features in buildings. Albert’s extensive experience includes all phases of fire protection engineering including computational fluid dynamics , calculations, design, analysis, testing and construction period services. His expertise in the field of fire protection, code analysis, and life safety is an invaluable asset to our clients and a respected member of architectural and engineering design teams.

With over 30 years’ experience, Darren is skilled in leading technically complex fire protection engineering and construction projects including design, building and fire code consulting. In his 20 year tenure with Reed, Darren has completed numerous award-winning projects for clients in the public, higher education, military, and commercial sectors. Successful projects include; Mockingbird Station Dallas, University of Texas at Austin Tennis Center, University of North Texas College of Law, Texas Woman’s University, Fort Bliss Lifestyle Center, and Crestpark High-rise Condominiums.

Carissa has over 20 years of Life Safety and fire protection design experience including design and layout of life‐safety systems, FM‐200, Intergen, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, design of fire pumps, on‐site coordination with other construction trades, inspection of fire sprinkler systems and fire alarms,, estimating, quality control and construction administration. Carissa’s Project Management role includes day‐to‐day operations of each project, thorough investigation of the new and existing systems; design analysis and site survey of the construction process to upgrade the fire protection systems. Carissa is an expert in NFPA, Uniform Facilities Criteria (UFC), and International Building and Fire Code analysis.

Taylor is an accomplished Fire Protection Consultant with extensive experience utilizing NFPA standards, Uniform Facilities Criteria, and International codes, fire alarm, mass notification systems, and smoke exhaust system design. Taylor’s wide-ranging knowledge in the Unified Facilities Criteria, International Building Code, OSHA, and NFPA Standards ensures the success of his diverse projects covering major federal, university, correctional, residential, commercial, and healthcare facilities.
Taylor earned his bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology from Oklahoma State University, serves as a member of The Society of Fire Protection Engineers, achieved NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist,
